Mara Dubnow, MD, JFACOG

Dr. Mara Dubnow is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist caring for patients in Evanston and Glenview. She provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, with particular interests in diabetes in pregnancy and trauma-informed pelvic exams. Dr. Dubnow is committed to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions, advocating for themselves, and making informed decisions about their health.

Dr. Dubnow earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating magna cum laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago. Before joining Midwest Center for Women’s HealthCare, she practiced as an OB/GYN in Phoenix, Arizona.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Dubnow has a strong background in community health and women’s health advocacy. As Senior Advisor and former Executive Board President of the New Life Volunteering Society, she helped expand access to healthcare for underserved communities and led community outreach initiatives.

 
Outside the office, Dr. Dubnow is a second-degree black belt, karate competitor, marathon runner, and culinary enthusiast. Since becoming a mother herself, she has gained an even deeper personal perspective on the experiences and decisions that accompany pregnancy and parenthood. She brings that perspective, along with her commitment to patient-centered care, to the relationships she builds with her patients.
