Maricar Virina, MD, FACOG

Dr. Maricar Virina is an experienced OB/GYN physician and surgeon who grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. After graduating from Loyola University cum Laude with a double major in chemistry and math, she attended the University of Toledo School of Medicine where she received the Dr. Norman Fisher Memorial Scholarship and served as President of the American Medical Women’s Association. She returned to the Chicago area to complete her residency at Advocate Lutheran General in Park Ridge where she served as Chief Resident in Clinical Administration. Dr. Virina is also a Certified daVinci Robotic Surgeon by Intuitive Surgical and performs DaVinci Robotic Surgery at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Virina has received numerous awards including the 2019 Excellence in Teaching Award from the Association of Professors of Gynecology & Obstetrics. She was also selected as a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society due to her outstanding compassion in the delivery of care while showing respect for patients, their families, and healthcare colleagues.

Dr. Virina sees patients in our Vernon Hills office and is affiliated with Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She is currently accepting new patients.
